The same\u00a0deity\u00a0called<strong> &#8216;Zeus Pater&#8217;<\/strong>\u00a0by the Greeks and <strong>&#8216;Iuppiter&#8217;<\/strong>\u00a0by the Romans.<sup><a href=\"#footnote_0_1102\" id=\"identifier_0_1102\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"Dyau\u1e63 Pit\u0101 and Jupiter are associated with the same Indo-European diety, but in Hindu astrology, the Planet Jupiter is identified with B\u1e5bhaspati, Lord of Prayer. The planet is also associated with Marduk in Babylonian astrology. \">i<\/a><\/sup> When the ancients looked into the skies, they were so impressed by the planets that they associated the celestial bodies with their own gods.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, the gods have blessed us with clear skies and a celestial treat: The Moon, Jupiter, and Venus are clearly visible to the naked eye.
